wrj midwest district and wrj speakers bureaus

Did you know that every Sisterhood is entitled to a WRJ Midwest District Speaker once a year and a WRJ Speaker every other year at no charge?

Who are the speakers?

• The WRJ Midwest District Speakers Bureau is comprised of past WRJ Midwest District presidents, current and former board members, and WRJ board members who are part of our WRJ Midwest District.
• The WRJ Speakers Bureau is comprised of current and past WRJ presidents, current and former WRJ board members, and WRJ staff.

All are experienced, knowledgeable, talented, and energetic women!

When would we want to have a speaker?

A WRJ Midwest District or WRJ speaker can play a key role in a variety of Sisterhood activities, including Installation, Sisterhood Shabbat, Circle of Service events, Board Orientation, Leadership Development seminars, and gatherings of the general membership and special interest groups. She will be an excellent spokesperson for Women of Reform Judaism’s programs and projects.

What expenses does a Sisterhood incur by having a WRJ or WRJ Midwest District Speaker?

Very little. Transportation expenses are paid by WRJ Midwest District or by WRJ. Home hospitality is suggested, but if the speaker prefers staying at a hotel, assist her in making those arrangements. The Sisterhood is responsible for meals and for registration fees. It is suggested that, following the speaking engagement, the Sisterhood make a contribution to the Fund for the Generations in honor of the speaker.
